Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Transfer to Nyungwe Forest
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Trip to Gorilla Safaris guide and driven southwest towards Nyungwe National Park. The scenic drive passes through rolling hills, tea plantations, and small Rwandan villages, offering a glimpse of the country’s rural charm. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, settle in, and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by the lush rainforest. Dinner is served at the lodge as you prepare for the adventures ahead.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Canopy Walk
After an early breakfast, head into Nyungwe Forest for a guided chimpanzee tracking experience. Trek through dense rainforest trails with your experienced ranger guide in search of habituated chimpanzees. Observe their playful behavior, feeding patterns, and social interactions for up to an hour once the chimpanzees are located. After lunch at the lodge, enjoy the exhilarating Nyungwe Canopy Walk—a suspended bridge offering breathtaking views of the forest canopy, birdlife, and distant hills. Return to your lodge in the evening for a well-deserved dinner and relaxation.
